Demon: The Fallen, Character Creation Rules

General Info

This System is run by Thetosh and character sheets can be sent to Thetosh in the forums, or philiptosh@googlemail.com

Demon is a game of two parts, the Damned and the Decieved. While the Fallen walk the earth they need those of faith to empower them, their Thralls are of utmost importance. Demons and Thralls are both available to play on Seattle but as both have different rules I shall cover them both seperately.

Due to the great power that even the basic Demon the Fallen characters can possess there is no 'instant play' variant for the creation rules. That being said, as long as no rolls are made, I will allow Demon and Thrall characters to be playtested once the sheet is in my inbox before approval.

Fallen Characters

Basic Fallen Characters

A basic Fallen character has just emerged from the Pit for the first time. They will have found their host within recent weeks.

Creation: Character creation using creation rules in the book.

Advanced Fallen Characters

An advanced Fallen character can have emerged from the pit and taken a host any time within the past 11 years and used that time to build their power base.

Thrall Characters

Basic Thrall Characters

Basic Thralls will likely have only recently met their Demonic Master, having gained their enhancements in the past few months.

Advanced Thrall Characters

Advanced Thralls have likely been in service of their master for a year or more, having gained greater rewards for their servitude.

Aditional Requierments

As with Mage the Ascension I am willing to allow almost any character that you can make using the limits and rules spelled out above, in the book and site wide (such as limits on character ages.) While I accept that combat is a part of the World of Darkness this is a roleplaying site, not a rollplaying site, so characters Min-Maxed purely for combat may get a raised eyebrow.

If you do want to make a combat character (and I accept that some Houses are more geared to combat than other) it would be wise to ensure your character has some other skills to fall back on during non-combat scenes.

Merits and Flaws

Demon The Fallen introduced more categories of Merits and Flaws than any other games. Some of these Merits and Flaws were very well thought out while others, ‘No Email Address' and ‘Alamony Payments’ to name two, are often seen as a joke.

That being said at current no Merits and Flaws are banned or restricted. However the more off the wall and obscure ones should be justified within your background, not just taken for easy freebies.
